Koeman Atlantes Neerlandici IV, Ren 1 (28). The maps from this atlas were printed from the plates, used by Frederik de Wit for his sea-atlas, but now thoroughly corrected. The first edition of 1715 was followed by an edition dated 1739, slightly different from 1715, and eventually by an edition of 1745 with Dutch text, published by R. and J. Ottens. That Renard based his atlas on the maps by De Wit is said by him in his introduction. The traces of old lines are still visible on the corrected plates. This map contains one of the most important changes by Renard, he changed various names of islands and waters. [Ordernr.: 23063 ]
